The Challenge:
A Nation on the World Stage: The Olympic Games are the ultimate global platform. The challenge was to translate the "Marca País" (Country Brand) into a physical "home away from home" in the heart of Rio de Janeiro. We needed to create a space that not only comforted Colombian athletes but also projected a vibrant, modern image of the country to international tourists and press.
The Solution:
An Immersive Cultural Hub. I worked on the environmental graphic design that transformed a standard venue into a vibrant cultural showcase. The design strategy focused on immersion—surrounding visitors with the textures, colours, and spirit of Colombia.
Spatial Branding: Designed large-scale environmental graphics, murals, and signage that defined the zones of the house, ensuring the brand presence was felt from the entrance to the main stage.
Cultural Storytelling: Translated Colombian cultural heritage into modern visual assets, creating a backdrop for high-profile events, tastings, and press conferences.
Visitor Experience: Managed the visual consistency of the attendee journey, ensuring that every touchpoint—from wayfinding to promotional collateral—reinforced national pride.
